Comments:

I bought this 2011 bike late last year to replace an old timer so as to get fit and loose weight. The experience of riding it has moved me from an occassional user to a 100 mile+ a week avid cyclist. I've lost 25 pounds, feel strong and healthy and am dedicated to the ride even when on my "regular circuit". The Rapid 2 has been a life style changer for me. Hint for success: have the bike fitted accurately to your body dimensions as it will perform best with the least effort or fatigue.

    Comments:

I've put over 800 miles on my Rapid 2 in the two months I've owned it, commuting and taking 25-50 mile rides on the weekends. I thought the Giant line about the Rapid being "a bike you'll want to ride every day" was just hype, until I found out it was true! My road bike (a Giant Defy Advanced) is faster, but the Rapid is plenty quick, very agile, and much more comfortable. I have neck issues that limit the time I can spend on my road bike, but my neck never bothered me on a three day, 180 mile trip I took last month. The aluminum frame delivers some chatter on bumpy roads but a softer seat solved that. I look forward to my commutes to and from work because the Rapid is so much fun to ride.

I bought my RAPID 2, for the handlebars, after my XTC was stolen and I love it, two minor issues I had at first were the pedals and some shfting problems other then that it is the ideal bike for me.
